Holiday Parks

New Zealanders love the outdoors and have been campers almost from the time the first settler from Europe arrived in the beautiful country. For many families, the annual summer holiday was in a tent at their favourite beachside Holiday Park.

This concept is still popular today, although campervans now often take the place of tents. Because of this camping tradition, many of New Zealand’s more than 300 Holiday Parks are located in prime locations - on beach-fronts, in natural bush surrounds, in areas with thermal springs, or encircled mountains.
